Yesterday I was chewing gum and noticed that I was feeling a clicking right in front of my ear. I have a narrow palate that makes it impossible to mew properly and I have always subconsciously let my teeth clench together when in a resting state. When I try to correct my jaw habits and keep my top and bottom rows from touching it feels forced and causes a lot of discomfort in my masseter area. Would this be indicative of a larger issue or is this just the result of long term strain and habit change from correcting my jaw positioning? (For reference I also have wisdom teeth coming in sideways on both sides of my bottom row that I will get removed soon which may also be a factor)

Go to a orthodontist son not looksmax.org

depending on your age, you could look into masseter botox. it treats tmj and helps with clenching/temporal headaches

Go to an ortho get it checked out

stop jutting, fixed mine

i can only say that all your problems is from braces

+any wisdom teeth position is normal

don't remove any teeth and just try to not strain muscles

It’s reached the point where I believe it’s causing further crowding I’m not sure if I have a choice and I already have an evaluation scheduled very soon regarding my wisdom teeth removal. Thank you for the info though I’ll look into the thread
