You dont know how it feels when, as a kid, you had an innocent, loving heart that just wanted to be with a girl, while everyone around you had someone, yet they never showed any affection towards you.
You tried to make friends, but you always ended up being left out, always having to reach out first. Then, as soon as you left the friend group, the atmosphere suddenly became better.
As this continued into your teens, nothing changed. Every interaction you tried to have with someone ended unsuccessfully. You tried to make friends, but they distanced themselves after every conversation. Girls didn't even laugh at you, they just looked at you with pure disgust. Yet your positive mindset never changed, despite being constantly mocked and humiliated by everyone.
Now youre not a teenager anymore. You missed out on teenage love and friendships, where both you and your girl or your friends were chopped, awkward, and still growing, but had each other to lean on.
That boys trip. That one best friend. The parties.
You never got to experience any of it.
Job applications become more important, and you see another applicant wh's better looking than you. Despite being more qualified for the position, he gets chosen instead. And it doesn't happen once, it happens over and over again.
The final straw comes when you realize your own family openly makes fun of you in front of strangers and behind your back. The whole crowd laughs or looks at you with disgust, and they spread that image of you to everyone else.
You finally acknowledge that something is wrong and desperately try to fix it. You turn to public forums before considering roping. A tiny bit of hope remains that maybe its just your personality, even though youre disgusted by the person you see in the mirror.
But online, people suddenly like you. They find you interesting, smart, and someone theyd actually want to be friends with.
Thats when you realize what it was all about.
The entire suffering, the missed opportunities, the loneliness, the lack of happiness you experienced. it wasnt because of anything else but the hideous creature you saw in the bathroom mirror.
The only thing that could have helped was someone who would truly listen to you. Someone you could talk to. You became so desperate for human connection that you even joined public yoga classes, hoping to meet anyone who would just accept you for who you are.
But even there, reality hit.
You came home after endless attempts to make things better.
The broken childhood, not a single soul wanting to be near you, your nonexistent future, the memories you never got to make. Everything overwhelmed your mind, and you collapse to the floor.
The last tiny piece of hope burned to ashes, and your heart turned to stone.
Even if everything suddenly became perfect, it wouldnt affect you anymore.
You are immune to tragedy.
You are immune to happiness.
Forever
