Honestly it wasn’t as hard as I thought, phase 1 was the hardest because you’re still adjusting to the way things work, just be loud, be fast, and be intense. I was in your position and now I’m about to be promoted to lance corporal. By the time you get to the range weeks everything after was a breeze, basic warrior training is going to suck though lol
Getting the vaccines is required, you get 1 on 2 different training days in recruit training but you’ll never have to wear the mask when doing PT(physical training) I heard they’re even getting more relaxed with it now actually.

So the way that works is you get 10 days boot leave after you graduate boot camp and then you get leave again after you graduate from marine combat training, then if you have anything going on at home you can request emergency leave but besides that once you’re on base you get like 2.5 days of leave for each month of service, it kinda sucks but if you’re not cool with that you can do reserves.
Obviously, I have everything from my dog tags, to my dress blues, to my eagle, globe, and anchor . Though I’m not gonna go out of my way to post it lol being a marines not something I’m all that happy about, sure it helps get chicks and provides a steady paycheck but it sucks.
Yeah I saw a few people get sent home for that, there was one guy in my platoon who managed to slip through though, pretty sure he’s an aviation mechanic stationed in Okinawa Japan, I had a lot of injuries I never told MEPs or my recruiter about.
Are military benefits worth it. And is military full of moggers or mogees. I just want to know because I’m afraid if I join, I won’t be able to smash for however long. Also Idk what sorta jobs they have, I was looking more into Air Force. Also I’m wondering if it’s better to go straight out of highschool or take college first(I’m junior in highschool).

Military benefits are definitely worth it, it doesn’t matter what branch you go to . It’s going to give you an advantage that most people don’t have in life, now the health insurance isn’t the best but it’s better then none at all. You can get a house loan using the GI bill, I know 23 year old corporals that are kinda balling right now while going to school along with having a house because of that and the the fact that military pays for your schooling.

I also heard that there are three types of people who join the military: the ones who have no were to go and military is their next bet, the ones who want to shoot guns, blow up, and kill shit, and then the actual American heroes who want to fight for their country which I believe is a rare one in the military. They’re available to you after your first enlistment, it doesn’t matter if you do 4 years or 20 you’ll get the same benefits except those that do 20 years get compensated for their service for the rest of their lives.
As far as people who join the marine corps it’s definitely the ones who want to blow shit up lol but also some people just really wanna hold themselves to that higher standard, but I’d say it’s a combination of all 3 at least that’s how it was for me and most people in my platoon. The majority of us had to make it because we had no idea what we’d do if we didn’t.
We had someone in Lima company named McClarty who also had a form of Asperger’s but he scored really high on the asvab and never said anything at meps. He made it and yeah a lot of the females are chubby, their standards are a bit lower than the males especially when it comes to our physical fitness test and combat fitness tests.
I know of some pretty autistic, Norwegian RuneScape players who did military service. This seems like cap to me.

. That being said, yeah our defacs were probably the best out all 4 branches. Even our basic training defac was better than the ft.leonard wood army chow hall we are at when I went there for tech school. Lmao. I remember the same day I arrived at my first base (eglin afb). A group of marines who where arriving with me for whatever training went into the defac for the first time, I was happy again cause I was in a airforce defac. The group of marines were were all jumpy and smiling and laughing like they were in some kind of candy shop simply because the defac basically looked like a buffet restaurant to them , that shit was so funny

It’s kind of like a status thing, when people see that you’re a marine or in the military they become interested in who you are but also some girls just love the uniform. Whether you’re wearing the cammies or the dress blues and service uniforms. When I was at MOS school in Cali me and my boys would go hours off base to hit the nearest towns and depending on where we went the females would ask us questions and we’d their numbers. I was in a relationship with a girl I met on base at the time but I still got nudes occasionally from the ones I met.
I’ve been in for 6 months not counting my 3 months of hell in recruit training but I can say this, when I was at my MOS school a lot of the junior enlisted marines were competing for girls that would be considered mid to high tier Becky’s. So Like 80% men for 20% of women, it was kind of ridiculous. I just stayed to myself, worked out and found an overall attractive girl on base who showed interest. Didn’t work out though but point is most were trying way too hard.
What happens if you drop the soap in the shower?
Not quite sure considering that in bootcamp the only soap we could use was dial body wash and we only had 300 seconds to wash our asses before being kicked out of the rain room.
For the marine corps I highly discourage joining at the age of like 28, you’ll have a hard time with the more physical aspects but for the army they’re way more relaxed so you can join well into your 30s.
