Probably not the right place to ask this but
What does love feel like?
I read this today, for context, Patroclus was a mythological Greek hero.
According to Patroclus, love is selfish.
It's hoarding, It's something to be feared.
He writes in the seventh song, that love should be taken as a part of gold, rare, hard to find,.
and that the love of Viannes proves exactly that.
Reading from the first song.
And if you were to take the love of every, mortal mother who has ever held a child
and multiply it 10 fold, 100 fold, a thousandfold, and even then you would not have arrived at one one thousandth of the love that she bears for young Patricius.
And what does that love produce?
It's not some curse. It is the gift of, immortality for her only child
in a world that will take everyone else from him.
This is the love that is selfish.
It’s very thought provoking (atleast to me)
To me it conveys that love is the most powerful feeling a human can experience.
Thoughts?
(no I’m not gay)
