GET YOUR WISDOM TEETH OUT ON A SEPERATE DAY BEFORE JAW SURGERY.

Holy fuck, I had them taken out yesterday, and my left cheek hurts like a bitch and is swollen.

You don't want to go through both at once, if your surgeon recommends getting your wisdom teeth removed. You'll be stuck with holes and pain in your cheeks, and bleeding through your nose all while unable to open your mouth.

Again, ask your surgeon to get them removed on a separate day if possible.

I got mine removed too. Is the pain of DJS much worse than the one of extractions?

When I had the upper ones removed, it went very quickly, and there was absolutely no pain/problem after.

But the lower ones, it was painful, I literally piled on painkillers for a couple of days after, and there was a lot of swelling; it was impossible to eat solid food for ~4-5 days.

I don't know if it's "worse", but the folks over at r/jawsurgery are saying they are in a lot of pain after DJS.

Imagine going through both at once, will be hell.
