People no longer leave home without being accompanied or with a clear destination.

Everything is made to be enjoyed with friends or a loved one: restaurants, bars, concerts, arcades, etc., everything is made to be accompanied, if you go alone you are left out the standard of the place and people start to notice you, it's fucked up.

So it's clear that if you don't have friends or a loved one, you have no reason to work and live in society anymore. It's over.

Not really, there used to be way more socially normal ways to exist in public without already having a friend group or partner. You could just hang around somewhere, become a regular, talk to strangers, join local clubs, etc. Now a lot of social life is organized around pre-existing groups, reservations, group chats, planned events etc.
Going somewhere alone feels less like participating and more like spectating

Completely agree, If you live in some hick town it is exponentially different than somewhere like NYC.

I live / grew up in a village full of boomers / retirees. But I also experience the contrast by being in a city like London too. The contrast is night and day.

You're not supposed to be 'outside' alone.
Humans are social creatures and this 'lone wolf' mentality is not normal for most people throughout history (exceptions exist ofc).

For these people modern copes ('culture') like porn, videogames, social media help fill in this void - even the latter you're not supposed to enjoy alone. But it's something that's hybrid.
