You should never share your deepest feelings with anyone other than yourself. The best therapist you can ask for will always be you. You are the only person who truly understands your feelings and emotions. You will never judge yourself. You will always support yourself. You will never reveal your deepest secrets or thoughts to others.
But then the question comes around: why do people kill themselves? The most common reasons are a lack of empathy from others, depression, and many other struggles that are rooted in a person’s mental state. They most likely never received help from others, or maybe they never had the chance to talk to someone about their feelings because they were stuck in the mindset I mentioned at the start.
Ifsomeone believes they must handle everything alone, they may slowly begin to feel isolated. When pain stsays unspoken for too long, it can grow heavier. A person might convince themselves that no one would understand anyway or that opening up would make them weak. Overtime that silence can turn into lonelines, and loneliness can turn into hopelessness. And when someone feels hopeless, they may start to believe there is no way out.
The truth is, while you know yourself better than anyone else, you are still human. Humans are not built to carry everything alone. Understanding yourself is important, but so is connection. Sometimes another person cannot fully understand your feelings, but they can still care, and help you see things from a different perspective. And sometimes that small difference is enough to save a life.
