I'm currently 17 and i am getting MARPE in a couple of weeks. I had some very unlucky events when i was a kid, having broken my nose and never gotten it fixed which led to me starting to mouth breath for a big part of my life, i fixed the habit of mouth breathing about 2 years ago(except when sleeping) although i could never fit my tongue on the roof of my mouth, will correct tongue posture still have any effects on my face at this age or should i opt for double jaw surgery?i have recently been trying to push double jaw surgery as far back as possible and much more as a last resort since i cant hide it from people that are around me a lot

Usually your facial bones stop growing and are complete around age 12, this being said if you were never able to fit your tongue on the roof of your mouth and haven't been able to for a long time there's honestly no use trying to master tongue posture or anything of that nature at this point. You might want to invest in a palate expander and depending on how far you're willing to go financially and just in general, you might want to look at the double jaw surgery.
