The tonsils sit behind the jaw and throat, so removing them doesn’t change the jawbone or muscle structure that actually defines your jawline.

If you have very large tonsils, they could slightly push out the soft tissue in the lower face. Removing them may make the throat and lower cheeks look a tiny bit slimmer.

Indirectly it can improve breathing and posture while sleeping which can slightly emphasize jawline because the jaw sits more naturally and the face isn’t slouched forward.

If tonsils caused sleep apnea or chronic mouth breathing, removing them can allow normal nasal breathing, which can affect facial posture over months/years, which has subtle, slow impact that is more noticeable during development.

TLDR

-Removing tonsils would only really SLIGHTLY make your jaw look more defined if they were extremely large and causing lower-face fullness or mouth breathing.

In order to meet the criteria wouldn’t you already have to be struggling with airway space? //meaning that something like a bimax would be more beneficial to actually improve airway.

I had my tonsils removed (when I was young) and am having problems breathing during sleep, but a mri scan revealed my airway to have enough space. I think the real issue comes from my small upper pallet which denies me correct tongue posture in my sleep and/or narrow nasal airway from the narrow pallet.
