tooth nerve inflamation causing bloated side of face?

i broke my tooth 2 years ago and never really fully got it fixed at the dentist and for the past 2 years i have a dull type of pain its barely noticable and i kinda live with it for a long time now, but what i noticed is that the side of my face that has that tooth is a little bigger around that area where the tooth is on the lower jaw than my other side of the face that doesnt have any tooth nerve damage. Is there any possbility that the inflammation can cause swelling and therefore make one side of my face bigger?

ill probably have to take out that nerve completely which will leave me with a numb tooth but i dont give a fucking shit i js care that it fixes my shitty asymmetrical jaw
