atoms do exist from materialistic pov. atomism is the first version of materialism, created by democritus

Well what are we really talking about then

It's more about the perspective of what is the higher form of reality, and on a quantum level it seems information appears to come out on top.

On the material level, material is constantly changing, it is subject to the seemingly immutable immaterial laws of physics.

And all these conclusions are formed from our immaterial observations of immaterial consciousness.

A lot of this is just based on which way you're looking at it, though.

Everything in the entirety of the Universe is Energy including Consciousness

Matter in all of its infinite manifestations is simply just Interrupted Energy at various Rates of Vibration.

The difference between Man and an Archangel is Vibration

You mentioned before you enjoyed reading, if so then read the Corpus Hermeticum and the Kybalion
when you have time.Leibniz's Monadology is good also

These books can elucidate you far better than I can

i was reading monadology like a year ago but dropped it on like 10th page
i've read summary on leibniz philosophy though and its kinda retarded if said gently

they are. read definition of matter in google ig

They're an excitation of a field. If you want to call that material, now all material is non-material, which undermines the whole argument for materialism.

Brain is obviously not the same thing as consciousness, your brain doesn't even produce consciousness 33% of the time. Is consciousness a gas, solid, liquid or plasma?

cuz of its nature, mechanism
In other words, its immaterial properties

Believe it or not I actually have faith in you because I was also the same way, this more soo because im
guessing you are still young and even then its admirable that you are intrigued by Philosophy at such a
young age it shows you have a Soul and Hungry Mind

how
Brain is obviously not the same thing as consciousness, your brain doesn't even produce consciousness 33% of the time. Is consciousness a gas, solid, liquid or plasma?
yeah because consciousness is a function of brain but not brain itself. when brain is active then yeah subjective experience emerges but still subjective experience itself is material (different combinations of neurons create different feelings or thoughts)
In other words, its immaterial properties
its mateiral

Because a field is not matter

yeah because consciousness is a function of brain but not brain itself. when brain is active then yeah subjective experience emerges but still subjective experience itself is material (different combinations of neurons create different feelings or thoughts)
So then why did you say the state of matter of consciousness was "brain"?

By matter we mean "any physical substance that has mass and takes up space (volume)"

Consciousness is not a substance, it's an emergent property that has neither mass nor volume

its mateiral
What's the mass and volume of the laws of physics?

aristotle's prime mover is not a personal god and not a creator of the universe
and btw he made up the prime mover concept to explain moves and debunk parmenides. although heraclitus explanation of moves is a better thing than aristotelian
its just thomas aquinas was using his concept to prove christian gods existence yet none of his arguments prove christian god as they more like prove prime mover (still weak because as i said heraclitus explain everything better with lesser assumptions
prime mover that is basically panthiesm and the kaballah occult supports the einsof panthiestic creator theory.

It seems you don't understand that panthiesm and all those stuff are one of the core of occult

prime mover is nothing the same as pantheism lol. ig you've never opened aristotle's or spinoza's bokos
and i know nothing about all those kaballah occult shit. all that ancient semitic retarded tales are not even slightly interesting to discover lol.

I've said in the past that definition of matter is cooked. In physics there are more entities that forces to extend the concept like energy, force, magnetism, sound, waves and radiation (from chemistry).

What I mean, by material you can't imply that is always something that we can see or touch. They affect space but don't occupy space because space is not a delimited mass with geometrical form. The foundation of space is ultimately what's happening in quantum physics, where concepts as location are harder to prove.

there's an obviously bias in your mind and anybody can tell from just seeing any opinion you have

unfortunately you never look past your own biased narrative and maybe its because you're low iq but you can't imagine how itd be like from another perspective which is why you shape everything around a single core ideal when almost nobody has the "correct" interpretation the first time from their perspective

not sure what you mean. im trying to be objective and unbiased

nihilists are just depressed dudes on SSRIs:lul::lul::lul::lul::lul:
nihilism just means that there's no objective meaning to anything whether its life, morality etc
it doesn't mean you are depressed if you are nihilist
im a nihilist yet never had any sings of depression

A brain function is not matter. It can be manipulated by matter, but it is not material itself.

Consciousness is not a substance not because it is a problematic term, but because it is an emergent non-material property that is seemingly a representation of information, which is immaterial.

The manner in which material behaves is immaterial, the falling of an apple is not material. Even if we're wrong about the "made up" laws of physics, there are still consistent ways in which the physical world behaves (we could call this the true laws of physics).

Hence, material is governed by the immaterial. Material has no power to change the true laws of physics, so the immaterial is the higher form.

@JewishNationalist

"If we extend the definition of matter to the immaterial, materialism becomes valid"

Yeah of course, but then we're no longer talking about materialism.

consiousness is a property of highly organized matter
aka consiousness is also material
if not then send ANY research that proves mind being immaterial

I don't think consciousness "emerges" right out of the sudden from complex matter systems, it is formed way before that. All living beings have a grade of consciousness, humans being the most self conscious of their power but other animals have different abilities than humans. When senses work together with the brain it creates a higher consciousness cappable of naming beings and studying them, senses depend on organs.

What books do you recommend to start
start studying philosophy with pre-socratics (with heraclitus and democritus being the best ones), then plato (a shit philosopher but very influential), then aristotle (a very good one), then ofc stoics, hedonists etc especially skeptics
in roman philosophy im uneducated myself but i would recommend you plotinus. a shit philosopher but again very influential and important to our history.
in medieval philosphy almost everything is shit except for Occam but start with augustine ig, anselm, then thomas aquinas and his opponent duns scotus. then read William Occam who was a student of duns scotus and he's the best medieval philosopher imo.
in modern age philosophy there are many good ones like Montaigne, Francois de la Rochefoucauld, Spinoza, Hume etc but also many shit ones like descrates or locke. i still wouldn't ignore shit philosophers if they are very influential because its good for general brain development to know them.
after Hume you should start studying classical german philosophy with Kant, then shopenhaur, hegel etc. ofc nietzsche.
then philosophy became boring imo but you can read spengler or heidegger

i don't think that conscoisness formed before matter, if that was true then i would have concsiosness even before i was in a womb lol. i didn't have it thus consciousness requires brain
