Top 5 Niche/Underrated Looksmaxxes

Yes I'm a grey. DNR if you really care about that.

This is supposed to be the #1 looksmaxxing advice site, but there are still cope methods like "eyelid pulling" or "Wolffs law" being spread/promoted constantly. At the same time, there are many underground looksmaxxing methods that don't get nearly the amount of attention that they deserve. I'll be compiling my top 5 here (best one is last of course).

PILOCARPINE NITRATE 1% EYE DROPS

Take your eyes from this:

To this:

1769394721707

Pilocarpine nitrate is pilocarpine combined with nitric acid. It is a muscarinic acetylcholine receptor agonist with parasympathetic effects. It causes the iris sphincter to contract, which constricts the pupil and can make lighter/colored irises look more prominent. If you have very dark eyes, these may not do much.

How to use:
  • Buy 1% Pilocarpine Nitrate eye drops from Indiamart. If you receive 2%, you can dilute the eye drops with Refresh Plus eye drops. You CANNOT use any other eye drops to dilute, because they have preservatives and unusual pH that fucks with the potency of the drug.
  • About one hour before you have anything to do, put a small drop (or half of a drop by touching the solution to the eye while the bubble is still forming) in each eye. If you want to increase absorption, close the eye and press down on the medial canthus to block the drainage duct, increasing contact time with the iris.
  • The drug can cause a muscle spasm that may impair your distance vision significantly for up to an hour. You may get a moderate headache during this time.
  • After about five minutes, start using artificial tears and brimonidine tartrate eye drops to keep them from getting red. The pilocarpine nitrate can irritate the sclera.

Ultrasonic Cavitation (Cheeks/Submental)

Non-invasive spot-reduction of local fat (even buccal fat)

My experience so far:
So far I've completed four sessions of ultrasonic cavitation in conjunction with radio frequency treatment. I did my final session two days ago, and am waiting for the results. Here are a few things I've noticed:
  • I lose my hollow cheeks for a few days after, and the radio frequencies seem to make this worse. I attribute this to inflammatory edema and general lipid leakage.
  • The first time I did the treatment, my hearing was impaired because I didn't take the right measures to avoid damage. See the tips for a few things I learned from this.
  • The inflammatory response is very inconsistent. Some weeks, I woke up with deep hollow cheeks about three to four days after the treatment, and other times I would make it all the way to the next treatment as a bloatcel.

Tips:
  • IMPORTANT: Your machine probably has an optimal frequency. Before treatment, put water on the end of the nozzle and play around with the frequencies to find the one that cavitates the water the most.
  • Puff out the cheeks that you're performing the cavitation on to avoid hearing damage and discomfort.
  • It's helpful to wear AirPods/listen to music during the process. The cavitation is loud/painful and will be unbearable without some kind of distraction.
  • Reapply the gel about every five minutes. When I didn't do that, I would end up kind of cavitating the gel, losing the barrier and slightly burning my skin.
  • The noise doesn't increase linearly. The discomfort at power level 1 is probably about 85% of the discomfort at level 5.

Afrin Nasal Spray Mixed With Moisturizer

Reduce general redness (rosacea too) and post-inflammatory erythema with Afrin. This can also be applied to the under eyes to reduce more surface-level discoloration (not deep purple/blue).

1769395831144

Afrin is a potent vasoconstrictor used to reduce congestion by constriction blood vessels in the nasal pathway. The active ingredient is oxymetazoline hydrochloride, which has been applied topically in prescription drugs used for general erythema, especially caused after acne. Here's how to make it:

  1. Put a dime-sized amount of moisturizer in your palm.
  2. Add a few sprays of Afrin to the moisturizer
  3. Mix thoroughly to ensure even distribution of Afrin. The mixture may be a bit runny.
  4. Apply evenly to the face if you have general redness, or locally to areas with PIE

Under Eye Depigmentation

Materials: azelaic acid and tanning drops

1769398856831

The reason that you're supposed to apply a concealer below the eyes that's a few shades lighter than your skin tone is that lighter shades help counteract the shadowing created by lack of infraorbital projection and under-eye fat deposits. You can mimic this more permanently by reducing the melanation/pigmentation of the skin under the eyes.

With azelaic acid:
  • Cleanse the face normally first.
  • Apply the azelaic acid normally to the face. A good amount is one drop for each cheek, and one for the forehead.
  • Apply an additional drop under each eye. Azelaic acid can reduce pigmentation, so applying extra under the eyes targets unwanted darkness.

With tanning drops:
  • Mix a few tanning drops with moisturizer and make sure the tanning drops are evenly distributed.
  • Apply carefully to the face.
  • The main difference is that you'll apply everywhere except under the eyes. Be careful to apply evenly to the cheeks while avoiding the eye bag region.
  • Apply a normal moisturizer (no tanning drops) under the eyes.

Retinal detachment is a very rare adverse event and is usually documented at concentrations of 2% or highest which you would not want for the cosmetic effect. I’m curious about your reasoning for the fourth being cope, to me it makes a lot of sense mechanistically and I have seen results from it.

To be honest, I think it’s the other way around. The lightening effect would be to combat the shadowing caused by infra recession. It wouldn’t do anything for general discoloration or purple/blue undertones.

View attachment 4581952

Mirin the effort 👌 actually a good thread but zygopushing definitely works bro it ascended me to true Adam in a day🤣

in my experience, afrin (or in my case dimetapp) measureably shrinks my nose, i doubt this is gonna happen for everyone tho cus inside of my nose is swollen as fuck
are you using afrin as a normal nasal spray? or applying it on top like a cream? are you using it SPECIFICALLY for the swollen nose and the nose shrinking is a side effect or other way around?

specifically for swollen nose, i had switched to nasal spray corticosteroids and they worked better long term
will likely ask for them again cus it would pair well with topicals

so it wouldnt work for normal un-inflamed noses right?

the nasal spray i believe could still work, but only if internal tissue is actually causing visible increase in size
in that case you can most likely get it prescribed tho

Yes I'm a grey. DNR if you really care about that.

This is supposed to be the #1 looksmaxxing advice site, but there are still cope methods like "eyelid pulling" or "Wolffs law" being spread/promoted constantly. At the same time, there are many underground looksmaxxing methods that don't get nearly the amount of attention that they deserve. I'll be compiling my top 5 here (best one is last of course).

PILOCARPINE NITRATE 1% EYE DROPS

Take your eyes from this:
