Shalom fellas,

Anyone used or benefited from a course of topical corticosteroids (cream or ointment) for acne, especially the cystic and nodular type that’s painful to press.

Wondering if there would be a benefit in reducing redness and inflammation or if it’s shit and will do other shit like thin skin, promote infection, do more harm than good etc.

Oral doxy and topical clinda not working over time and seeking new options. May need to just send in future and seek accutane.

Might try a 3 day course of ointment and see how it goes, can provide updates if people interested.

I was prescribed fusidic acid/betamethasone to treat acne on my nape. I combined it with tazarotene 0.1%, and it worked fantastically. Never tried it on my face, though, since I have just scars left on it.

definitely not a long term solution tho, topical corticosteroids can be dangerous.

Have you tried tretinoin 0.1%?

yes. I started 0.025 tret + clindamycin ( had some improvements but nothing mindblowing) then after finishing it,tried 0.05 tret and got kinda cope results. 0.1 tret was the same for me personally. Finally switched to taz 0.1 and it worked the fastest and the best.

but i dont think any of the medication cleared the acne, yes it was helpful for controlling it,but just by aging it cleared by itself or idk healthy habits maybe.

taz def mogs tret.
the only thing i never tried was accutane for skin. And it def mogs tret but some ppl experience sides. (everyone experiences dry skin tho)

the thing with acne is that it fucks up ur brain more than the looks.(if its not severe ig)
