Obviously most estradiol gels would be bad since they are designed to be transdermal vehicles. I wonder how much gets absorbed into the serum. It would be an amazing thing to use for the skin.

estrogens are amazing for the skin, the only issue would be systemic absorption, and if you don't have gyno or have the glandular tissue removed it would probably be preferable to have higher levels of estrogens due to their cardioprotective and neuroprotective effects

It would 110% go systemic.

If topical estradiol only stuck to the skin or just below there’d be no need for any other hairloss treatments

Estrogens aren't necessarily anti-androgenic. DHT still binds to the cells in the hair follicles with or without estradiol. But there are topical antiandrogens which work and don't seem to have much systemic absorption (pyrilutamide, RU). However I have seen literature that topical estradiol is quite good for hair, it's just not anti-androgenic.

Mostly correct, but enough estrogen and you’ll completely crash your test and dht. Some people on hairlosstalk stopped aggressive hair loss with nothing but injections

Yes, because of shutdown of the HPTA. Of course. And topical estrogen wouldn't do that if it doesn't go systemic. It's a question of how much estrogen administered topically is absorbed into the serum (if the carrier is not designed to be transdermal)?

People also reported getting hair back with doses that shouldn’t shut down the axis with nothing else but they didn’t post any proof.

As far as systemic absorption goes
  • RU58841: 369,34 g/mol
  • Pyrilutamide): 482,43 g/mol
  • Minoxidil: 209,251 g/mol
  • Estradiol: 272.4 g/mol
So it’s definitely more prone to systemic absorption, but not as much as I thought

Not only does it have that molar mass, but you also need to consider the fact that steroids are by nature lipophilic. Some would definitely be absorbed. I'd like to see some more info on this to try and get a rough idea, like blood work. DHT has a molar mass of 290.44 g/mol (so higher, negligibly) and andractim has a bioavailability of ~10%, but it's designed as a transdermal alcohol-based gel.

is winlevi similar to what you’re looking for?
That's a steroidal antiandrogen that blocks androgens from binding to the receptor. I'm talking about estrogens, which themselves promote healthier skin.

What about estriol?

ah. i would like to think red light therapy+tretinoin+collagenmaxx+sunscreen could have a similar effect without wrecking your hormones.
