topical fin help

I'm norwood 2 ish and it's been like that since maybe 18-19 (im 21 now), I have had very thick hair my whole life and still do but recently noticed very quick shedding and slightly increased progression which got me worried so I jumped on 2.5mg oral minox and purchased 0.025% topical finasteride in Trichosol but I'm unsure if I should just be applying it along my hairline and corners or try do most of my upper head. most of the thinning and balding is happening at the front btw. nothing really at the crown
my hair is super wet in the pic btw so dont say its greasy lmao
