Not enough for some people. Also doesn't address the primary androgenic mechanism that lies behind beard growth / follicle genesis. You'll have to run minoxidil forever to keep the hair gained. With topical androgens, you could potentially achieve a permanent effect without having to run it indefinitely

if its not enough combine it with wnt upregulators
rubbing an androgen on your face will just rape your skin
