Total serum androgens vs. AR sensitivity; Which one is more important for expression of masculine features? (...and why?)

Total androgens are easier to manipulate and a higher dose of androgens = more AR expression while AR sensitivity is vague and you can never know if your efforts at increasing it are actually doing anything
