OK, so you described some "conservative" attitudes in the most extreme ways, what is this supposed to prove? I don't know if I've ever heard a conservative say that long hair on men should be banned, just that they don't like it, for example. Not sure of what point you're trying to make.

The point I'm trying to make is that conservatism has been losing consistently over the last centuries. It can even be called progressivism with a generational delay.

Communism is a continuation of liberal Enlightenment thought - maybe that's why conservatives confuse liberalism with socialism
