Training lower back with range of motion to prevent injury.

I have been training my lower back by hinging at the hips until i reach a 90 degree angle and then I hinge at my lower back moving up and down. Think of a RDL but its using ur lower back instead of hips. I believe this will prevent injury and improve athleticism
