just finished watching cyberpunk edgerunners and im fairly certain our future is moderately heading in that direction
soon hard looksmaxxing (already happening in places such as South Korea) will be the norm and every other person will have cyber augmented skulls, arms, dicks, legs etc

IMO that will be shit, I only like the biotech angle, I don't want to meld with metals.

I guess it's right but we are far away from something groundbreaking, most likely won't see this in our lifetime or it will be elites only (imagine gene editing your kids for the best state of them possible, or enhancing your working memory with external devices, it would give so much advantage over normal people they wouldn't even compete, no matter how hard they try).
