Traveling with remote job

I currently work in sales and have been applying to a lot of remote jobs. If I were to get a fully remote job can I work from anywhere?

I've heard of digital nomads getting a fake router/VPN and stuff like this.

Any one here working a remote job and able to travel?

It's easy to fake what you want to do is set up a VPN somewhere in your country it could be in your home or your friend's home whatever but don't use any commercial vpn as that is very easily detectable then you connect to the vpn that you set up yourself and you should be good

If something goes wrong it could still reveal your location but if you do everything right the chance is slim check the wiki on r/digitalnomad you should have more info there
