Red and inflamed spots all over my cheeks , literally filled both cheeks
I Had to stop using The A-ret gel 0.025% and remain indoors all the time and slather with moisturizer to calm this down
Now scared to start Tret again.... Give some advice

Start with 0,015% until you get used to it, then increase slowly

My skin is utterly destroyed and ruined beyond repair. I also look 80.

2.5 years of strongest strength Tretinoin cream shipped from the motherland (India) and I am worse than when I started.

Waste of time. ALL topicals are cope.

Sounds like you’re allergic and you got hives.

Or you used way too much. You’re supposed to squeeze out a pea-sized drop and spread it over your whole face.

I’ve been using 1% for years and never had a reaction like that.

I remember that when i started to use tretinoin(it was the least powerful version) for the first days i had tiny red spots, nothing crazy. Then after the first 2 weeks suddenly my cheeks became totally red and here the skin burned a lot. To get rid of that i applied moisturizer cream once every two hours to force the protective barrier of the skin to heal. It took 5 days and at school people were asking why my face was so red lmao. If a person doesn't have acne tretinoin is cope, literally just use a cleanser and a moisturizer and maybe some little serum and you are good to go lol.

Think one of the two reasons u mentioned.
I hope it's not an allergy and I can still continue to use tret after I become confident enough
Not gonna lie i used way too much than pea sized amount .

I intended to use tret gor better skin texture and even skin tone , more collagen (softer high class skin)
