I was using 0.01 until last week, skin was looking a bit better this morning + flaking a bit

Simply seeing my skin 2020 compared to now is insane lifefuel and I didn’t even start medical skincare until half a year ago (both outside lighting)

I used tret for 18 months and I can confirm it has made me into an even bigger abomination.

More hyperpigmentation, more indented scarring, and active acne haven't ceased and I now have the gay glow on top of everything else. It's monumentally over.

Damn, all that work and time wasted for nothing, I feel you. If you have bad acne, tretinoin alone won't be enough, judging from the pictures on r/tretinoin. The ones who had bad acne and actually managed to cure it always used other substances as well, such as azelaic acid.
Did you follow a strict regimen, first washing with facial cleanser, then tretinoin, then moisturizer and sunscreen?
