please make sure you’re using sunscreen every day and applying it multiple times when you’re out

i started using it at 13 but no one told me how important it was to wear sunscreen with it

my skin used to burn and turn red when i went out. my face was some shades darker than my body. it took a long time for the hyperpigmentation to go away

And yes, I won’t apply tret if I'm not wearing sunscreen. Also, it’s been like 3 years on and off using it. So I’m pretty used to it right now.

I did go through the trials and tribulations early on, though. Especially because my starting dose was too high and my skin got dried straight out. I was already acne-ridden, so I probably wouldn't have noticed any extra dark spots from it.
