Tret or retinoids on Isotret?

Im on 30mg accutane

I dont have a lot of acne left

Its mostly scaring

From everything I've heard and read, topical retinoids seem to be more effective than Accutane in reducing scarring

Can I use both at the same time?

You could potentially but if it's only for the acne scars microneedeling would be better but yes it would work

If your skin is not completely dry on accutane and you got used to it then definitely tretinoin bc it needs no conversion in the body and is way stronger but to start to be ultra safe (low t) you could use retinal first but js do tret tbh

My skin is not dry at all tbh

I still have a lot of tret at home

I think I will start with using tret once a week

and I will see how my skin reacts

Then definitely start and i wish you best luck but if the scars are really bad maybe keep microneedeling in your mind for later

Dont do this or use tret while on iso sperglord. Even after your off you should wait at least 3 months before micro-needling anything.

Its fine if you take a small isotret break

I will stop taking it for a short time before and after

then I will take isotret again

since I will only do microneedling once a months

so I will only lose like 4 days of isotret a month
