Tret or taz

I have .025 tret but I’ve used it in the past and it’s very irritating, thinking about trying taz. What should I start with?

start with low dose taz and do a 3 day cleanse if you start drying up

I started 5 days ago on tret 0.1 and only stopped one day in between and didn’t notice that much dry spots and barely any irritation. Should I buy something lower at just continue. I used sunscreen and moisturizer everyday btw.
