Tret or Trifarotene?

Been on Trifarotene for 2ish months and has been amazing + doxycycline 100mg, should I keep using Trifarotene or switch to Tret? Also I will soon start a accutane treatement so should I keep using Trifarotene or Tret while im on accutane?

When you start Accutane you will stop the Doxycycline right?

As for your actual question Tret is more proven over decades while Trifarotene is newer. But that does not mean much and the studies generally say Trifarotene is less irritating (iirc - dyor). Make of that what you will.

I personally would not switch as, as you said, it seems to be working

As for the second part, you should defo stop any topical retinoids once you start Accutane

Edit: Also you would usually hop off doxy too once you start accutane but you didn't mention that so I am assuming you already considered that

So if I start taking Accutane, I stop taking ecstasy? Why not do both? Accutane Mogs really surpasses other retinoids in terms of collagen ?

Oh okay yeah I didnt knew that if I should stop using topical retinoids while on accutane and also yeah I'll switch from doxycycline to accutane in a few weeks I have an appoiment with my dermatologist to get it prescribed after all blood and psychiatric exams

accutane increases collagen density by 60% but hasn't been found to decrease collagen loss
