Tret purging

So I want to start using Tretinoin cream 0.05%, but the tret purges I been seeing has been insane, right now I don't have a single acne, haven't had one in about like 1.5 weeks.

I want to know if my purge will be as bad as the ones I have been seeing online

Also I live in a really mountain area where the UV is really high, and I wear sunscreen in the morning but in the afternoon I have a walk home which is approximately 8 minutes of no sunscreen protection, and I heard that tret can make your shi very photosensitive, so I want to know even if just 8 minutes will turn my skin really dark,

please someone with experience with tret help me answer

Purging will be bad

case dependent. I’ve had no purging on both Tret and taz (and I use an ungodly amount of tret), but some ppl experience flare ups with a pea sized application 3x a week.
start slowly and adjust accordingly
