Tretenoin not working

So basically I’ve been using Tret for a few months at a time on and off for the past 2 years.

The first time it lowered my acne and dried my skin out.

The second time it lowered my acne, dried my skin out and made my skin glow more.

Now when I’m using it all it does is dry my skin out and not get rid of any acne.

Does anyone know what the issue could be? Don’t say accutane as I’m working on getting it

are u applying at night and are u using enough sunscreen?

maybe go up in concentration with the tret or try tazarotene (do ur research before ordering)

also it takes consistent use for like 4+ months before you start getting that glow

I use it at night and apply sunscreen even when the uv is very low during this time where I live. I’m using one that was prescribed to me a few years ago that is 0.05% concentration

Are you just using tret?
Have a skin care routine

Hyaluronic acid in the morning followed by azelaic acid then sunscreen. Night is Tret and sometimes moisturiser
