Tretinion causing lighter patches on my skin, tf?

Ignore the water, I noticed it while washing my face. And it's even more obvious irl than on camera, very obviously like two shade down

I'm on Tretinoin 0.025% daily, holiday rn so no university and haven't been going outside much along with even when I do I would use sunscreen(plus it's always hella dark)

I'm on the purging stage rn, so I been flaking/peeling quite a bit which was expected for the first few months but now there are lighter patches of my skin as well which I didn't expect, I only started last week. The patches are kind of shiny as well even when dried; tf is going on??
