Guys I have tretinoin 0,1% and isotretinoin 0,05% I know that isotretinoin is better when you take it oral as accutane but I want to know the differences between the two gels and if I start with isotretinoin 0,05% can my skin manage better the tretinoin 0,1% . I started with adapalene and I applied it everyday for two months straight alongside with niacinamide 10% + zinc 1% and azelaic acid 20% . Enlight me with info about those btw my skin is way above average ,I have only some visible red marks in nose due to acne years ago ( they are very stubborn ) .

yeah isotret should be good enough on its own but you use use tret as needed.

with how you described your skin already though i feel like you would benefit more just from tret and don’t bother to take any risk with accutane

Yes but might be better start with lowering dosage such as 0,5% rather than hop on 0,1% immediately ? Feel like the irritation will be too much from high dosage even if I had retinoids in my skincare routine at previous month, adapalene can't even put in the same level of strength with tret 0,025%

true to an extent, isotret is usually a guaranteed fix to all facial acne so why not use it if you have it at this point
