Tretinoin + Accutane

would these 2 medicines do the trick for clearing up acne. Thinking about taking 20 mg accutane and some tretinoin is this optimal or should I do more.

no point in taking both when they mechanistically work the same, accutane is just systematic and more effective so id recommend that. not to mention it can permanently shrink sebaceous glands unlike tret

Finish a full isotret course, and then use tretinoin. Even better, just take 5mg of isotret daily after finishing course.

I took both last 2 years
Tretenonin did fucking nothing it just made my face hella red and didn’t help
Accutane I was on 80mg/daily for 9 months and had no health complications other than very dry lips
I would stay with 20mg accutane daily and if that’s fine maybe bump up to 40 if your acne’s actually bad
Ditch tret it’s overrated
