Tretinoin + Azelaic Acid

No joke this acne I’m getting is unbearable, just started incorporating azelaic acid 20% into my routine (tretinoin 0.05% coming up on three months). I believe I’m purging, idk if I can keep pushing through man, genuinely got 6 pimples in one spot only my cheek, forehead is about to purge now. How are people mentally alive after using this combo if they are purging as bad as me.

Yeah, but if you use azelaic acid it could worsen and prolong the purge. I would look into avene cicalfate restorative protective cream or something similar to help your skin barrier as it seems it wasn't strong in the first place

Yeah that’s true, I thought I was done my tretinoin purging phase, as I was just getting small pimples. But should I stop azelaic acid for now? And just focus on tretinoin? If so, is December a good time frame to start azelaic acid?
