So i recently went to the dermatologist to get a prescription to help with my raging acne, while I was there my dermatoligist prescribed me 0.025% tretinoin cream. I have been using it every 3 days for the better part of a week but the problem I am facing is that my face gets extremely red and it burns, and the redness is lasting all day for the most part. The main question I have is if anyone knows how to properly use it alongside if the extreme redness is normal for the start.

Note: To any incels saying "get on accutate", no, the reason I'm using tretinoin is because I want to not deal with the side effects of accutate in the first place.

Keep using it, it just gives redness and burning first also u might get more pimples and purge but it will go away overtime

is it normal that my skin is like super dry and red and constantly irritated?
I think so, use it for a few weeks and if it still goes on like this then u should visit ur doctor and tell him that it didnt work
