Tretinoin Purge Phase is brutal

I never suffered from acne or anything growing up, the occasional pimple here and there

I knew my purge when starting tret wouldn’t be as bad compared to the people that are actually prescribed it, but I am suffering from something very bad

Dry skin, it’s peeling off, and every time I express my fave it stings, really badly

I’ve researched it, not enough long term research/results on it, Tretinoin is universally used and is known for anti aging, I don’t mind the side effects at the beginning since it’s worth it in the end

Use glycerine after you apply tretinoin thank me later

Are you using a lot of moisture and Hydraulic acid?

And what is the cleanser?

A full morning routine usually fixed the dryness from my tret overnight, or even when I was on tret + accutane for Dat evil purge

For me I do

Panoxyl cleanser, 1 minute of low friction scrubbing (pre sudded up with water in your hand in the shower so it's bubbly)

Then get out,

1/2 tbsp moisturizer

Hydraulic acid, 1 tsp

Sunscreen, less than a tsp

Toner, full tsp

Then moisturizer again

Then Toner again

You can skip the last 2 if you don't have as dry of skin as me, but I definitely got the dry skin type too.

bb cream saved my life and that’s not exaggeration

not having to worry about breakouts as much bc i can just cover them reduced my cortisol levels a shit ton

I need to start stamping again but I feel like it gave me hair real high on my cheeks

if I don't shave for a day it's back, it won't ever go away fully, it's just all the excess tissue your skin is producing, shaving scrapes it off.

if you don't want to shave find a gentle exfoliator and use that regularly or just scrub harder.
