if I don't shave for a day it's back, it won't ever go away fully, it's just all the excess tissue your skin is producing, shaving scrapes it off.

if you don't want to shave find a gentle exfoliator and use that regularly or just scrub harder.

I do everyday dosage and jumped to 0.1% straight, the easy access retinols never did anything

yep, I apply every 3 nights and have 0 irritation. I consider moving to more frequent applications

I use tazarotene and my purging phase lasted about two weeks. I had the exact same as you, just be grateful you aren't getting pimples. The peeling and dryness is very normal, I use "Vanicream daily moisturiser" and it works better than anything I've used. If you apply the moisturiser first and then the tret it should be less harsh on the skin

Mirin jaw. If you mean purge as you in just started, the flaking will go away and your skin will adapt. If you mean purge as in you stopped taking it all of a sudden, then I never noticed any thing of the sort when ceasing use

I just shaved and my lower third has pretty much no flaking, just around my browridge and nose, I’ll exfoliate tomorrow morning as well but shaving will subsidise the dry ashy skin for as long as the purge is, legit advice from you and @Orc
