Brand doesn’t matter. Cream or gel form doesn’t matter. Only thing that matters is percent. If you have severe acne do 0.1% or 0.05%. If your doing it just for wrinkles or minor acne 0.05% or if you’ve never used any retinoid use 0.025%

It does matter. Cream form can trigger acne, plus gel is easier and less frustrating to apply. In general I would just use isotretinoin since it took months to see results from tretinoin for me, if I just used isotret from day one it would've saved me a lot of time (and even now I still have acne omegalul). Also I suggest considering a form of tretinoin with an antibiotic like Acnatac. Also, have you considered tazarotene?

Gel and cream are fine lil nigga. No evidence for what your saying. Obviously accutane is better but it’s not perfect either.

It's common knowledge that gel is easier to apply, it's only downside is it being more harsh on your skin, but that's arguably more of a pro than a con. Cream forms of tret CAN and often WILL needlessly give you acne because of isopropyl myristate, I'm also literally speaking from experience.

is this good,
It's a pretty basic tret cream, yeah. Haven't used but I don't see anything out of the ordinary here in the ingredient list.

Yes, obviously, tret breaks down under sunlight since it's photosensitive and you're probably going to just end up with sunburns if you decide to apply it during the day. Everybody swears by a different cleanser, cream and sunscreen, so I can't objectively give you the "best" ones. I personally use korean skincare products from Beauty of Joseon, and I highly recommend their sunscreen because it's super easy to wash off (which was an issue I had with western brands which had me fucking ripping my skin off with their twisted ass sunscreen that always stuck to my skin like napalm). The only downside is that they don't work well if you sweat a lot or do sports. What do you use right now?

tbh i never did any skincare man,i saw this tret trend and i tought about it.I did some research about it.But im really new to this skincare world so i don’t know what to use.So for sunscreen imma use the one u said. But what about the mosturizer and the cleanser. And what i need to apply in the morning?

I’m gonna get tret as well.

It’s going to ascend my nose at least the skin quality because other than accutane (which has many more side effects and the side effects are more severe), it’s the only product that can actually get rid of large sebaceous filaments visible on the nose, which people often confuse for blackheads

Can you send your skin in DMs? I can help you more there if you're not comfortable with sending it here.

I actually had a lot of blackheads on my nose from tret because I didn't use an oil cleanser to begin with for my nose or any peels, but after I did them it really did do wonders for my nose ngl.

Oh fr so just tret alone won’t necessarily shrink appearance of sebaceous filaments? (those Grey dots aren’t actually blackheads they’re sebaceous filaments)

Good to know if that’s the case

No, not permanently. You'd need isotret for that. It'll make them look nicer and give it a smoother and less obvious look to them, but it won't shrink them in the literal sense.
