So I’ve been using 0.025 tret for 2 weeks every other day for my mild to lightly moderate acne and PIE. So far I’ve only experienced mild dryness and peeling in the morning and a few days ago my “purge” started where my skin became a bit more textured and there were these tiny comedones and whiteheads which go away really quickly. This tube is probably gonna last me a couple months after which hopefully I shouldn’t have active acne. After that I was wondering for the post acne marks if I should keep buying tret or switch to 0.1 taz cos I saw my mum has like 3 tubes of it. I’ve heard it’s much faster and less irritating and my skins responded to tret fairly well. Should I switch to it when my tret runs out?

maybe do 0.05 tret into 0.1 taz but its up to you, get some azeliac acid for the pie preferably 15-20% strength

What’s the downsides of going straight to 0.1 taz cos I’ve heard it’s less irritating in terms of peeling and dryness

well yes it kinda be better for some, but 0.025 tret is very very weak so even if taz might be less irritating for you it will still be a very big leap since u aint even on 0.05 tret to begin with.

obv you can prob handle this if you introduce it slowly though

depends how ur skin reacts, you could start with doing azeliac acid in the mornings tret at night, or just do azeliac acid in the morning and no actives at night or azeliac acid at night aswell then do a day of tret in the evening and no azeliac acid that day.

my skin tolerates AA very well so yours might aswell, or not whatsoever but I think you will want to eventually start using it everyday along side tret/taz everyday or every other day
