i have started tretnoin 0.05 topical along with azealic acid 10% by when can i expect to clear my cystic acne and previous acne scars if it will help at all

Cystic acne should start calming down by month 2 to 3, expect a purge in the first few weeks where it gets worse. Scars are a longer game, 6+ months minimum for noticeable fading especially with only 10% azelaic. If you can get 15% (finacea) or 20% that'll speed it up. Use tret at night azelaic in the morning, don't layer them at the same time or you'll fry your skin. Full results for scarring is more like 8 to12 months so don't quit early thinking it's not working.
