So I just switch between suffering and suffering a tiny lot/being in a neutral mood state

Therapy certainly won't solve my problems as I don't have any explanation to my
Anhedonia and Fatigue

Should I self medicate myself researching on the internet or go to a psychiatrist?
I feel like the psychiatrist will just be a pussy wanting to prescribe me SSRIs and nothing else which from my research very likely will just worsen my anhedonia.

Have you tried Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)? Because unless it is a legit imbalance issue, I thought the point of working on your mental state was to eventually go without the drugs that suppress you. I think that's where I see the most issues, people intending to stay on happy drugs for life, surely that would diminish over time if the root issue isn't addressed, right?

And how about breathwork and meditation, have you put significant time into that. Breathwork is the only thing that has humbled me, brought me to tears. I thought that stuff was bullshit for the longest until I saw this:

I thought those people were loons until I tried it. And for reference, I'm a determinist, so far from the spiritual type, but I'm beginning to realize I was fool towards this stuff.

I'm not seeing how that's ideal when it's a legit loop. You are drug maxing because you aren't happy, why not fix the root cause? And it's not like those drugs come without complications, we are talking about SSRIs, right? Of course, if it's a legit chemical issue, then you need a physical change. But for those dealing with issue because of past traumas, CBT is scientifically prove to assist with alleviating responses to past traumas.

Just try different shit until you find what works for you, there is no one size fits all. SSRIs work for many people, and don’t work for many others. Same goes for other antidepressants, psychedelics, talk therapy, and other treatment options.

9-MBC + Memantine + L-THP will reset you

how are you suffering if you're in a neutral mood?
I'm not feeling any true happiness or life contentment, and when I do it's suppressed in a way where I can feel it but at the same time I'm still in that neutral mood.

You are delusional if you think that, mental health is so much more important than some silly dating life.

I don't have any trauma, if not my retard brain hasn't picked up on some things it doesn't wanna let go of.
LSD just made me get a panic attack for no reason following anxiety and depression for months and that's made me believe I have a subhuman brain. Nothing that puts me down really and affects my mood even more, it's just logical to think that way.

I'm talking like no drug abuse, just occasional substances (I'm extremely good at not becoming addicted to anything btw)
Like phenibut for example, wouldn't that just guide your brain in the right direction at improving your socializing skills? If taken very occasionally at correct dosages, talking like once every two months.

I'm gonna try that and this for 15 minutes every day for 30 days

I'm planning on doing something interesting soon.
The thing is, I've had my own house party which was supposed to be an interesting experience, nothing too crazy, just a couple friends but to be honest all I got was a bad drunken experience

yeah but if any of you are reading this, I'm seriously considering CBT therapy even though I don't feel like I have any problems whatsoever
I have a decent social life too

You mean microdosing drugs that will temporarily block dopamine so you can experience it later?
I'm scared of side effects that can cause, some can be permanent

Read more about antipsychotics side effects here https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_long_term_side_effects_of_antipsychotics
L-THP is a very short-term anti-psychotic (and the only one actually). It blocks your d1 receptors and d2 for only 4 to 5 hours. Bad side effects come from anti-psychotics that act in the long term.

Memantine is an NMDA antagonist. And it is hella effective if your anhedonia comes from excessive use of stimulants.

my anhedonia comes from just existing
possibly hormones because it started when I was 10-11-12 so during puberty

Had the same issue ;) .. Do you sleep more than 8-9 hours and do you get extreme lethargy?

I sleep for 9-10 hours every night with a consistent sleep schedule (i go to sleep at the same time every day)
I get moderate lethargy
Constant anhedonia

LOL man this kind of knowledge you don't check with chatGPT but rather google scholar/Pubmed.

First of all, it is not a theory. A lot of biohackers are doing it. I am applying it on myself everyday after heavy steroids use for 5 years and various people on my TT are using this strategy @teach_me_roids

"The receptor will typically resume its normal functioning" . If that was real, everyone would drink 1 coffee per day and get a cocaine-like effect every single day. And if that was real, anti-psychotics would not exist and nobody would experience addiction issues. When the receptor is fucked up, it is fucked up and you have to add some strategies to upregulate it.

Anhedonia comes from a downregulation of D1/D5 receptors, upregulation of D2 receptors, downregulation of adrenergic system (beta 2 receptors and upregulation of alphas), downregulation of NMDA receptors and more. In some people (like me) the balance dopamine/serotonin is fucked up; so you have to avoid high serotonin.

First try to find out where your anhedonia comes from. If you didn't abuse stimulants/porn/sugar (or any other factor that excessively increase dopamine), then it is very likely that you are like me and that your anhedonia comes from an excessive production of serotonin.

So you're telling me you've been anhedonic, barely feeling any pleasure (for how long though?)
I've been since around puberty
And you're telling me that very likely your stack would solve my anhedonia and make me feel a slight enjoyment to my life essentially cure me?

Started taking steroids 5 yo ago and anhedonia/depression started in my 2nd year I think. It got worse throughout the months.
Yes it will. Feel free to DM me if you need more info or something ;)

Selegeline helped a lot with anhedonia, but haven't tried to use it long-term due to unbearable libido increase.

I am quite confident. It will work ;) my own regimen is quite more complex than that. But the most important compounds are these ones. Let me know about your outcomes.

how can i know that a research chemical is safe?
No man it will fuck you up even more. I don't know why the dude is comparing Prami to 9-MBC lol 2 different mechanisms of action. Prami is a dopamine agonist. The problem is not that it's a dopamine agonist but rather the fact that it has no affinity for a certain receptor. It binds to every dopamine receptor. You can take dopamine agonists in the morning to give you a boost but there is much better options than Prami

It is used a lot in bodybuilding to counteract high prolactin. Pramipexole or Cabergoline are shit.

9-MBC is a research chemical but we have enough data on various forums to know how to use it. Just be sure to not expose your face to sun and put high strength SPF cream. Don't take more than 1 week (during this week you will feel shit and you have to take 0 stimulants). This is the phase where your body upregulates your dopamine receptor. After this week, you can take some stimulants and BOOOM you will feel just amazing ;) I feel on coc every single day with just 1 cup of coffee, L-Tyrosine, Alpha GPC, P-5-P.

DM me . I will give you my full protocol and all links where you can get some high-quality information ;)

what are your thoughts on these two reddit posts from r/anhedonia?

what are your thoughts on these two reddit posts from r/anhedonia?

On the first link with the full list, I TOTALLY agree with the major compounds listed. Adderall is the one that will kill your anhedonia but the problem is not that it will kill your anhedonia. The problem is the tolerance you will develop to it. It will force you to increase the dosages and you will become addicted to it. That's why you have to always stack dopamine boosters (like Adderall) with dopamine calming/upregulators molecules (likes 9-MBC, Memantine, etc..). Will tell you in DM my entire stack.

Concerning the second Reddit post:
- selegiline: never tried but sounds promising.
- bromantane and some other stimulants are part of my stack 3 times per week. Phenibut I am not okay with it because you develop tolerance after the first use. So kinda useless.
- wellbutrin I got a prescription from my psychiatrist few years ago. It is okay. Some other stimulants are better
- Prami : you already know my thoughts about it

Very well, you should work with this stuff if you aren't already, we need more people like you than some psychiatrist that charges hundreds of dollars for some zoloft and chit-chat

If I were to take these long term, do you think my brain would be able to adjust to the anhedonic cured state and that it would continue without the meds?

If so, would i need to go through some kind of dopamine fasting to keep it?

Appreciate man.

Am not sure if it would continue without the meds. If your problem is "genetic" and you are born with this problem, then I think you will have to take this stack on the long term. But as I said in DM, you only have to take 9MBC and Memantine on weekends. Only L THP every day.

Dopamine fasting is super effective. Always worked for me. But the stack I DMed you is what totally changed my life.

No stop using the term andondia, it is a worse term for "depression". Depressed is a symtom that describes depression. You don't need more "neurotransmitters", depression can't be reduced to anything physical in the brain. It exists and is caused in your mind

Why is it so that my anhedonia got much better after waiting 1 week and then drinking a cup of coffee then?

I could have brought this up or something similar before, but again
I'm so freaking scared of these antipsychotics, even if microdosing daily
I just don't wanna do it daily because of possible side effects like this

You never know, people differ and could easily develop this from daily microdosing
I wanna do a more spaced out dosing if I'm now gonna try this, my anhedonia isn't severe, I'd call it mild as I was on literally a 1.8/10 in pleasure today from caffeine, only for a short while though
1686062581940

1686062800651

Would I be able to still relieve my anhedonia for a while with days where I'm not dosing?
I'm okay with having some anhedonic days honestly. I just wanna minimize the risk for permanent damage, I might be sensitive to antipsychotics and therefore susceptible to permanent damage if I were to microdose daily long term

Here's a reddit post similar to your regimen btw, read it if you'd like:

to add some more thoughts i have in my head, caffeine increases dopamine and also has been studied to decrease the risk of alzheimers disease, the question is then, do antipsychotics increase or decrease the risk of alzheimers disease?

mechanically adding neurotransmitters can temporarily overpower the feeling of depression, but know that your mental/mind itself is the mover of neurotransmitters in their natural state, not the other way around.

Your neurotransmitters don't control your mind

Thanks for the good vibes, I'm definitely focusing on the "fake it til u make it" mindset, I have written it down but had slightly forgotten about it mindset, I'm honestly in a good mood right now even if my pleasure feels a little blunted.

I think substances that heighten your neurotransmitters can really guide you in the right direction for example coffee (if your theory of the mindset is true)

but come on, some of it or most of it is genetic, Reckful had been dealing with that depression shit for so long (the twitch streamer)

It's not that you can think your way out of that mental state, most people need long acting drugs like ssris to mechanically force a change in their mental state. Focus on changing your environment and daily activities and don't close yourself off in a box of having "anhedonia, I can't feel joy because of a self fulfilling prophecy that exist in my mind, which is also where anhedonia exists".

tolerance to the euphoric effects of caffeine build up quickly, there's no point. I drink coffee everday for its effect on focus (that is resistance to tolerence)

no it's not genetic, thoughts in the mind can't be genetic, literally not possible.
