Was watching a documentary on the Yanomami people on netflix and they had a bunch anthropologists talking about the tribe, over half the men in that tribe died violent deaths, 40% of men had killed, and it was also found that the men who killed the most had the most wives, the most kids and were overall the most successful sexually - dark triad and dominance pill jfl.
It was also found that one of the leading causes of warfare/violence amongst tribes was due to sexual jealousy, so for example if someone from a different village came to their village and managed to get a woman. This would cause jealousy amongst those in the home village and it would literally cause wars. JFL, the lack of mates/sexual frustration had led men to literally fight each other to the death. During the raids/wars, children would also be killed in case they try to avenge their fathers, the woman would also be taken away and raped and impregnated.
It reminds me of the war bride mentality essay I had read a while ago. The idea being because shit like this was happening for all of human history, women developed mechanisms to cope with this stress. So they often fell in love with killers, and were able to quickly move on from their partners and settle with the new man.
Brutal documentary tbh
