I found out about thumb pulling back in August 2023. I’ve been doing it ever since. My routine is 5 minutes for 3 sets a day. I make sure not to touch any of my teeth, and for the first few weeks, the palate will feel sore. It helped expand my narrow palate, widened my maxilla, and also pushed it forward. I highly recommend this.

you will get teeth gaps only if you are BREAKING the suture, only happens with MARPE or SARPE
Whats the point of thumbpulling if you dont break the suture then, I thought you have to break it to get new bone to form

.... because thumbpulling tries to simulate a normal palate expander, it only works if your suture is still open
marpe/sarpe is used when suture is already closed
its almost like a growth plate

I started it before my palate fused like when I was 1 day away from 16 in august 2023

Oh I get what you mean now, but I still never understood how you can remodel a bone by just putting force for a couple minutes a day

Thumbpulling can easily deform, or damage the maxilla. I still dont recommend any1 do it but instead stick to the basics and actually get advice from a professional orthodontist.
