Trump is going to be impeached...

Theres been multiple studies that demonstrate America would save somewhere between 2 trillion and 17 trillion dollars in taxpayer dollars if they were to switch to Universal healthcare, factoring this in.

What is your evidence for this?

Lowering taxes on the rich hasnt improved the economy and its created a massive economic rift between the wealthy and middle class/poor.

Bernie's and others proposed increase in taxes only on the wealthy would allow for more tax-payer money to fuel American growth and necessities.

We're currently on a multi-trillion dollar deficit rn, do you propose we keep it that way and go further into debt?
Citation needed tbh.

Most countries with universal healthcare tend to have high quality healthcare in rich urban areas while poor urban and rural areas tend to lose out. This can be easily extrapolated to the US. There’s also the fact that there’s massive divides between states in terms of public and financial health.

His wealth tax for one is unnecessary and is known to stifle growth, which is why most countries who used to have it ended up getting rid of it.

His increase in corporate taxes to 35% (a 14% jump from now) along with tax breaks being eliminated will likely make the US less competitive in attracting business.

The rich might even end up paying 97.5% of their income to taxes if he gets in. That’s just not going to work. https://www.google.ca/amp/s/www.for...from-bernie-sanders-tax-plan-infographic/amp/

I do agree that taxes shouldn’t constantly be lowered for billionaires and that there’s a unjustifiably massive divide between the middle class and rich. However, you don’t have to take a sledgehammer to their wealth with excessive taxes. The positive effects from that will be few to none.

Encouraging unionization, retooling trade agreements with other countries, moderate increases in taxes and programs like UBI are superior solutions imo.

I’m also confused as to why you would support Bernie sanders and say that the deficit is too high when Bernie sanders himself is a follower of MMT (which is known to disregard deficits).

What Bernie sanders is trying to do is turn the US into state heavy, tax heavy country like France. That might be ok if you want to accept 1% GDP growth and above 7% unemployment as the norm.
