People already told me it was coming. I knew trump was going to do something. Thank goodness I didn't rely on this alone and applied to other companies overseas. Fucking hell. :lul:

200k+ threshold is spot on for Big Tech unicorns they'll just poach from FAANG rejects or fly in the cream of the crop talent they were already shelling out for. But mid-tier startups they are Dead No way a bootstrapped Al firm in Austin is dropping $100k annually to hire one dev from Bangalore when they can train a bootcamp grad for half. This forces a pivot more upskilling Americans but also more offshoring to India/Canada hubs where costs are already low.

The removal of H1B would be far more beneficial for the countries they are coming from in the first place tbh, it's the globalists that would be more negatively affected from this

What's your play if you're a founder right now double down on remote global teams or start that apprenticeship program that is what you reduced to rn.

Lawsuits have already been filed since Congress only greenlit fees for processing costs not wage suppression.
