The U.S. ended the de minimis duty-free exemption for most imports valued under $800, effective August 29, 2025. I had a high-demand European pharmaceutical-esque item that I would sell on eBay in the USA. I was the sole seller on eBay for over a year.

I had a supplier running hundreds of boxes per month from Europe to the US for over a year, after the cancellation of the duty-free policy every single one of my packages gets stopped at customs and charged a large fee, also my supplier raised shipping costs 20$ more per box due to tariffs, leaving it no longer financially viable to run.
