1. He recommended me some shampoo

3. Finasteride ( 0,114 mg each spray and I should apply 1 spray each day on the receding hairline parts (im not balding bad)


Im not a big fan of it since it contains SLS and other harsh stuff. He said to apply it on monday, wednesday and friday only. As some of you know my scalp is already super dry im afraid that he knows nothing and then the shampoo will make everything even drier.

Should I try it out and look what happens even though I think he makes a completely wrong approach?
He prescribed it for my hair, thats why the dose is also that low. Besides that my mom says that i have less acne so i guess i did something for my acne too.
Nothing wrong about that imo.

In my opinion, even though I told him that i dont have a fungus, he thinks that my hair is too oily or regardless, he gives me only the stuff that treats oily dandruff and not dry dandruff.

Should I listen to him and try it out or do my stuff? I think i should just do what he says until i see him again and if it gets super bad then i will stop and do my thing

When do u next see him? Try it out for w few months and if it doesnt work try changing products one by one

+ shampoo can be too strong you can try it for a week or two and see how it goes

Isotretinoin have a higher chance to dry your scalp than the shampoo. The 5 first ingredients in it are moisturizing agents. If you're worried it will still dry your scalp, you can use a glycerin based conditionner after each use

You can have excess sebum and dry scalp at the same time hence why he recommend you a selenium sulfide based shampoo

You said you live in Europe ? Unfortunately we can't have Zinc Pyrithione and Ketoconazole shampoo here you need to order it from USA, but you can also try store brand Piroctone Olamine based shampoos.

Some people need to shampoo often to avoid dry scalp and hair loss due to cells overproduction

5mg isotret didn't do anything for me but my acne was never that bad
