trying to decide just genio vs trimax

Yeah some surgeons avoid doing complex surgeries and just like doing genios since they're easier. I've been to a few top surgeons where I live and two of them told me to do a genio since a trimax would be too unnecessary even though my case is very clearly recessed.

im probably gonna get consultations with more surgeons to see what they say but its brutal a lot of them charge for a consultation and id have to travel and its brutal to do all this just to be told they dont wish to do surgery on me. if 4 mm is all i would get idk if its worth it.

in my case its true im not super recessed but its defo true im incel and i need to do something to become attractive

If you truly cannot do more than 4mm of advancement then yeah it probably isn't worth it for aesthetics (imo).

Yeah, if possible, try getting a few consultations from different surgeons. Don't go to too many though since you can get overwhelmed/confused by too many different opinions.

You can for sure be attractive without having optimal projection. There's numerous guys out there who are a little recessed yet still look good. If what your surgeon said is true and that you're not recessed to where jaw surgery would make a beneficial difference, maybe you should try focusing on different things regarding your appearance (again, imo).

whats brutal is sometimes my side looks recessed and sometimes it doesnt

my front however always looks bad my mouth is narrow but im using a palate expander

honestly, a lot of surgeons are simply afraid of bimax surgery. they avoid it and take the easier route. i went through a very similar process myself. many surgeons advised against bimax and tried to steer me away from it, even though my occlusion wasn’t bad at all. still, i chose to go ahead with bimax, and i genuinely think i got a much better result because of it. sometimes it’s not about whether the bite is “acceptable,” but whether the surgeon is comfortable going beyond their comfort zone.
