The Türks built a long-lasting Islamic empire spanning three continents and were considered one of the great non-European powers, just like Japan, unfortunately their empire was torn apart by other imperial powers.
The modern day reformed Türkish state is also a diversified economy with technological advanced sectors unlike other Muslim states where their incomes are still commodities:

When its come to the military, the Türks clearly stand out among these three Major Muslim powers (Iran,Saudi Arabia and Türkey), I'm too lazy to write an essay on this topic but it's clear that the Türks produce battle-tested drones and were able to locate the missing Iranian leaders via drone.
Scientifically, the Türks produced a nobel prize winner in Chemistry and also produced a great Statistical Mechanics professor, his MIT lectures saved me during the exam week.
