majority have been conditioned into posting short spurts of ideas in single posts due to apps like twitter and tiktok
the regular consumption of this posting style will eventually make classic forms of literature incomprehensible to the average person
eventually it even transfers over to the way we think, ideas are concentrated into short pockets of thought and it becomes difficult to expand on past a certain amount of characters (as if the idea were limited to the space of a single tweet)
it probably has everything to do with short attention spans too, it’s even more difficult to concentrate on one specific idea and flesh it out as much as possible when you can barely pay attention to the thought for more than 2 minutes
i think this will, if it hasn’t already, manifest in much of our modern literature, whether online or physical
i predict that deep analysis of certain topics won’t really take place as much as they used to, everyone will be moving on to the next idea so rapidly
