Twin blocks or Herbst appliance

I asked chat gpt it said i have a projected maxilla i showed a good side profile pic but it said my mandible is slightly recessed should i get twin blocks or herbst which one is better do they promote mandibular growth and forward growth im still 14 with open plates so this is the best time to act on it

ask ur orthodontist dont rely on chatgpt lol, im not sure what age u need to be for a herbst appliance or twin block but i have a friend who got one at 13 and he told me it hurts like crazy

i used to use twin block about 2,5 years it litteraly grow my mandible from non existent to slightly existent but good results actually

Thanks dude after consideration i think i will use twin blocks instead of herbst appliance my side profile is ass i definitely need twin blocks

Yeah i will definitely have to ask him before getting it but chat gpt recommended me twin blocks or herbst it said both were great but it said twin blocks are more teen friendly i showed it a pick of me so i dont think it just blindly gave me a dumb recommendation but lowkey i dont care about the pain if im getting a better side profile better than being sub 5 at 18

I have read your thread its very high iq i have done the same research and i have come to a conclusion and that is that i will get herbst appliance i will also tell my orthodontist to not extract or pull any teeth out Herbst is the best treatment probably because it fixes your bite and doesn't have any negative impact on the maxilla
